About Us
Dedication to efficient transport
RideHitch was created out of 2 compelling issues that our founders faced in their daily lives. We noticed that many cars on the road were only occupied by a single person, the driver. This made us think, what if we could connect people together so that every car on the road can take more people reducing the number of cars on the road.
We created a system where drivers are able to share the cost of driving with minimal inconvenience. Riders are then able to get a ride that is faster than public transport at around the same cost. This way we help both parties as well as do our part in a greener Singapore
Making daily commuting fun!
The second issue we realized was that while riding public transport was that it has always been a very antisocial experience. We wanted to create an environment opportunity for people to talk and connect on their daily commute. Even if you are less sociable, it would give you the time to sleep on the ride or take out your laptop to do work which you can't on public transport.
Affordable private transport
Compared to ride-hailing options like Grab, Ryde, Tada, etc, RideHitch places our focus on making all drivers a possible form of transportation for those without a car. Our system focuses on helping riders join drivers that are going the same route, allowing us to reduce the inconvenience to drivers while increasing affordability for riders.
RideHitch wants to change the way we think about our daily commute, we want to integrate ourselves as a new option together with public and private transport, contributing to a more efficient Singapore
